This forum seeks public input on the long-range plans to utilize Clermont Farm in Berryville, Clarke County. This National Register property was bequeathed to the Virginia Department of Historic Resources in 2004. The Clermont Foundation manages the assets, archives, and endowment for Clermont Farm, as well as maintaining the active farming and preserving the buildings. They are currently working on a Historic Structures Report and the Long Range Plan for the Use and Interpretation of Clermont.<\/p>\n
This is where your participation is needed. To organize the themes of possible interpretation of Clermont, Professor Warren Hofstra has organized scholars to research and present their findings on seven key historical themes. The presentations and public comments will be used to determine the ultimate use of Clermont. This event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n
