Johnson<\/b><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.phwi.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/fuller.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.phwi.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/fuller-300x217.jpg\" alt=\"220 West Boscawen Street\" width=\"300\" height=\"217\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>The Fuller House is an excellent example of Winchester\u2019s Greek Revival residential architecture. The brick and stucco home was built prior to 1854 by Joseph S. Denny and subsequently enlarged by Dr. William McPhee Fuller, a dentist. An advertisement in the <i>Winchester Times<\/i> for June 30, 1898 locates his office as the \u201cfifth door west of the Episcopal Church on Water Street.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The house contains ten fireplaces and the original cherry circular staircase which spirals from the first to the third floor. Found throughout are intricate moldings and woodwork showing a master\u2019s touch. The kitchen and a butler\u2019s pantry converted to a wet bar have been completely modernized by Richard Oram. The carriage house to the rear of the property, which has been restored, will be included on the tour.
