The Parish-McIlwee House, 320 S. Cameron Street

The Parish-McIlwee house contains a log and frame core c. 1800 and Victorian style porches added c. 1915. George W. Parish bought the house in 1912 and, along with the Victorian-style updates, added matching outbuildings. George Parish was a successful stock dealer and merchant, and the town Parishville "owes its origin and growth" to him, according to Cartmell. The house passed to his heirs, Mary and Pearl McIlwee, and the family remained in the house until the 1980s when PHW purchased the property.
